Autocad basically consist of designing tools and some other functions.It have a status bar,command bar,toolbar,quick access toolbar,info centre ,menu browser and workspace etc.
When you install Autocad  you will get a screen like this:


   Menu browser: It contains the functions like cut,copy,paste,save,save as,delete,edit,new,open,print etc.With the help of all these functoins we can manage the drawing files which we made in autocad.
   Toolbar: It contain  different  kinds of tools like line ,circle,ellipse ,spline,pan,move,champer,fillet etc . with the help of which we draw drawings in autocad.
   Command bar: Here we give command to software to perform next action.It also shows which command we give to the software.
   Status bar: It shows status/position of your drawing according to the universal co-ordinate system.It also shows the functions like ortho,grid,snap etc.
   Quick  access tool bar :  It contains the functions like redo,undo,print,save,new etc for quick action.
   Info Centre : We can search any thing through  this icon.
   Workspace:This is the drawing area on which different drawings are designed by user.

                         This screen also have some other icons which we will discuss later.
